Banks ,Insurance Companies and Accidents

The subprime mess show to what extremes the financial institutions will go to protect the bottom line.In what could be a a key ruling for those of us hoping to learn more about shady subprime lending practices, a bankruptcy judge has given New Century Financial until February 6 to turn over a report of an investigation into the firm's cash handling practices to bankruptcy monitors..This is an example of how things work. This mentality also effects people who are injured in crashes or by any someones negligence. The people with the money will go to any ends not to pay a fair amount on claims. Everyone should be aware of these facts.

For more information on this subject, please refer to the section on Car and Motorcycle Accidents.

Originally posted at InjuryBoard by Joe Stanley

Medical Malpractice Truths

The facts about medical malpractice need to be told. Most of the information that people believe are myths generated by the health care industry. The facts are astounding. Currently, attorneys and patients have no way of knowing who these bad doctors are because the National Practitioner Data Base's public use file conceals practitioners' personal information. Public Citizen urged Congress to lift the veil of secrecy which is used to hide doctors who are frequently accused of medical malpractice, especially considering the small percentage of doctors responsible for the majority of the malpractice committed in the United States. While 82% of doctors had not made a medical malpractice settlement payment since 1990, 5.9% of the others accounted for 57.8% of all medical malpractice payments since 1991. The "Truth" needs to be spread about all lawsuits and people need to be made aware of the myths and hoaxes that affect us all.

For more information on this subject, please refer to the section on Medical Malpractice and Negligent Care.

Originally posted at InjuryBoard by Joe Stanley

Chang Farm is voluntarily recalling Bean and Soy sprouts produced at Chang Farms with specific expiration date codes due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Big Brother Is Watching

I have noticed a disturbing trend in the way victims of negligence are treated. Insurance companies rather than paying a fair settlement will use any means not to pay a fair settlement. One trick is to blame the injured party and to try to show they are trying to "rip off" the system. How do they do this?

One of the method is to follow the injured person around. During the process of watching and following over days they will take video to try and show that the injured party is not really hurt at all. they will mislead and question friends and neighbors to try and get some "dirt". This process may seem harmless . It is not. The methods used can be manipulated to show anyone in a bad light. The invasion of privacy can be severe. So if you are injured at work, in a car accident, in a fall, on a construction site, or from anyone negligence beware big brother may be watching.

For more information on this subject, please visit our section on Car and Motorcycle Accidents.

Originally posted at InjuryBoard by Joe Stanley

Construction and Worker Safety

Many from the insurance industry and project development have advocated a change in the laws that protect workers injured from unsafe construction practices.A recent accident shows how dangerous construction can be. All loss who work in construction and are concerned about safety should insist that the laws are made stronger not weaker. Become involved so that the workers right to sue for unsafe construction practices will not be lost. I the law are changed worker hurt on a construction site may not be able to recover in court for the injuries that they have suffered.

For more information on this subject, please refer to the section on Worksite Injuries and Workers Compensation.

Originally posted at InjuryBoard by Joe Stanley
