Insurance companies routinely deny treatment to there clients based on reviews which indicate that the treatment is not necessary. A fictional movie depicting this behavior was made by John Grisham. The Rain Maker involves a story line where an insurance company intentionally withholds treatment to ensure larger profits. Although fictional and very dramatic such activities occur on a daily basis. Thus, although you are injured you may be unable to obtain the treatment you deserve.

A case currently pending involves a woman who was involved in a car accident and required spinal surgery. However, her insurance company denied the treatment pending review. As a result the surgery was delayed and as a result the woman became paralyzed.
